Europe

Europe for me represents the center of my world: among the most dearest places to me is the Mediterranean Basin, where I am from, and where some of the closest people who I love – those who raised me, as well as those who helped me to find myself – warmly welcome me each time.

The beauty of Europe’s rich, multicultural, and exquisite history shines. Yet, having traveled through 25+ European countries, nothing matches the feeling of living there and making it my home.

Such is my relationship with the Balkan region, particularly Albania, Kosovo, and Greece, as well as France. However, the travels documented in this blog are more purposeful than touristy stops…

Kosovo Chronicles

Going back to my Balkan roots to work with the United Nations Kosovo Team and UN Women in 2016, I became acquainted with the young country post-1990s wars, and saw impact on the ground for gender equality and sustainable development.

Force of France

I fell in love with France many times over. Returning to live there for a third time in 2015, I rediscovered France to greater depths than before, and through the major changes taking place in diversity, migration, as well as some challenges.
