The chemistry and human interaction forces that lead to synergy are hard to pinpoint. I saw these forces in action at their best during my most epic team experience in China. So what are the ingredients for a strong team that survives and thrives? Why are they hard to achieve at times?

Education ~ from East to West to Back Anew
The best part of my visit to China was my students. I loved getting to connect with them and helping to bring out their potential in English. Watching their development from quiet individuals to confident and accurate speakers was proof of how effective the Rassias method is. Yet, the value that we added goes beyond language skills. I saw students develop greater confidence, creativity, problem solving, and communication skills that will serve well them in life. The students’ curiosity, enthusiasm, energy, and love is truly humbling.

Selfies and “Madam, please”
The children of India won over my heart. Whatever school we went to in whichever village we visited, they greeted us with precious smiles. I felt inspired by their energy, welcome, care, and vitality. However, children in India face terrible labor exploitation. Out of all issues that I have witnessed in India, this one breaks me.
